 Palletized Portable Plasma System

The MS Palletized Portable Plasma System combines all the necessary components for on-location application of plasma spray coatings. The compact arrangement and multiple lifting capability allows the system to be used in shop, plant, or customers location. The design eliminates the problem of what is typically a last minute assembly of equipment to perform out-of-shop spraying. Simple connections to water and electricity and the system is ready to apply top quality plasma spray coatings. The system includes a 60/80 kW Power Supply, CP-620 Control Console, PF-500 Powder Feeder, and PG Series PlasmaGun. The power supply is fastened permanently on a rugged 5 foot by 5 foot metal pallet that can be positioned in close proximity to the workplace. Permanently mounted on the pallet are the necessary electrical disconnects for operation of the complete system. Also permanently mounted on the pallet is the water control system consisting of a Booster Pump, Water Flow Switch Kit, and the necessary electrical controls for operation. Gases are delivered from two or three cylinders safely clamped to the palletized structure.

For maximum convenience, the Control Console, Powder Feeder, and PlasmaGun are mounted on a cart that can be positioned within arms reach of the workplace. The cart also provides safe storage of all this equipment while in transit. Heavy-duty canisters on the cart are equipped with locking devices for anchoring to the pallet during mobile periods, or locking near the workplace during periods of operation. The cart provides storage for the PlasmaGun, Cable Kit, Spare Parts, and Plasma spray materials. Properly stocked, the cart is a complete shop supply area reducing the need for the operator to leave the workplace during the entire coating operation. The pallet may be safely lifted and moved from place to place by a 4,000 pound capacity forklift unit. It may be lifted by an overhead crane of similar capacity using a lifting beam that is supplied with the system. The pallet is entirely surrounded by a railing that provides protection to the equipment while in use and during transit. The design concept of the MS-2000 is to provide a complete PlasmaGun coating system and the utilities required to operate it in a compact package that can be brought to the workplace. The MS-2000 does this very well with a minimum set-up time, downtime, or inconvenience. This translates into efficiency and increased productivity, which in turn translates into increased profits. It also makes it conveniently possible to perform on-site plasma coating work that is not otherwise possible.
